A material or finish grade selected for a transparent or semi-transparent finish that allows natural wood character to remain visible.
Stain grade describes material selected for a finish that allows natural wood color and grain to remain visible. Species, veneer selection, grain orientation, and surface quality are therefore important parts of the finished appearance.
