What Is Primed MDF?

MDF moulding or millwork supplied with a factory-applied primer or coating for paint finishing.

Primed MDF is medium-density fiberboard supplied with a primer or factory coating intended to prepare the surface for an opaque painted finish. It is common in interior trim and moulding applications.

Buying Considerations

Confirm the primer type, edge treatment, moisture exposure, and final paint requirements. Factory priming improves consistency but does not eliminate the need for proper field preparation.
