What Is Pivot Door?

A door that rotates on pivot hardware rather than conventional hinges mounted along the side edge.

A pivot door rotates around one or more pivot points mounted near the top and bottom of the door. The pivot location can create a different opening motion and visual effect from a conventional hinged door.

Buying Considerations

Confirm the pivot hardware, door weight, pivot location, clearances, finished opening, and frame construction before ordering. Pivot systems can require different jamb and header details from standard hinged doors.
