Position Summary
The Dispatch & Production Coordinator is responsible for printing delivery tickets, labels and scheduling production according to due dates. Attention to detail in a fast paced environment is a must. Organization and a quick learner is important. Prior experience a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Answering, assisting, and directing all incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner
- Processing, reviewing and monitoring various documents
- Contacting current customers to set up and process deliveries
- Arranging payment terms in accordance with established guidelines
- Collecting and receiving payments such as cash and credit cards
- Maintaining computer customer accounts
- Providing advisory support and assistance to the department supervisor as needed.
- Responds to requests from customers for information
- Engages in technical discussions with coworkers to resolve problems
- Scheduling and routing deliveries in an efficient and practical manner
- Upholding professionalism by providing courteous customer service to visitors and clients
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Related experience and/or training
- Industry experience and sales experience is preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, policies, documents and regulations
- Ability to write reports and compose business correspondence
- Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form
- Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Word
