A narrow strip of material applied to the edge of a panel or door component to cover the exposed substrate.

Edge banding is a narrow strip of wood veneer, laminate, or another compatible material applied to a panel edge. It covers the substrate and can create a finished edge that coordinates with the face material.

Buying Considerations

Match the edge-banding material, thickness, color, and grain orientation to the face. Confirm how the banding will behave at routed, bored, or hinge-machined areas.
