Poplar is a hardwood with typically straight, uniform grain with medium texture.
Its color can vary from a light cream to yellowish brown with occasional streaks of gray or green.
Poplar moldings are often stained to look like other more expensive woods like Cherry but also can be painted.
It is very easy to work with and is among the most economical and inexpensive of all domestic hardwoods.
Poplars comes raw (unfinished & unprimed) and comes in random lengths from 8’ to 16’,
specified lengths are subject to availability and upcharge.
As with all wood moldings additional surface preparation maybe necessary and is recommended.
Flex is a flexible material, with similar characteristics of rubber.
Flex is used in radius applications like arched windows and curved walls. Flex can be painted or stained with a Gel-Stain to match.
